This year we tried something a little different. We usually do an open house for the next years senior class. It started out pretty well attended but has dropped each year. I did not want to scrap the idea so I needed to give the kids a reason that would get them going. Since social networking sites are so hot right now we decided to offer free profile picts to all the attended. I ordered 512mb travel drives with our logo and website info on them to put the picts on. Well we did see an increase and it really got the kids talking about us. It is something we will for certain do again, so I thought I would pass it along.

Awesome idea. How many book from that event however. Maybe it could go one step further and offer a discount of the session if booked that night. And get the prepayment up front. Just an idea!

I would like to know how many you got from that as well. Maybe you could offer them more images on the drive when they come in for their Senior Portraits and spend a min. amount.

So the more they purchase, the more they get on the card. mmmmmm

Ok better yet, on that drive put your information about you and your studio for them to print out. Not prices ... just information about the studio and where you came from and what you do. Maybe even a coupon on the drive to print out.
